How to Fix Spotify Error Code 4 Easy Way

Spotify is a digital music streaming service that gives its subscribers access to millions of songs and content. It is available on most platforms (Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS and Android) and there is a free ad supported version and a premium paid version that offers some additional features and does not include advertising. Try another DNS

One of the most important factors that can cause this problem is a DNA problem. To check if he is guilty, you can try using Google’s DNS settings.

  • Use the Windows + R key combination, which should open the startup dialog immediately.
  • Type ncpa.cpl in the line and click OK to open the Internet connection settings in the control panel.
  • Double-click on your active network adapter and click the Properties button.
  • Search Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) in the list. Click on it to select it and click on the Properties button below.
  • Stay on the General tab and set the Use the following DNS server addresses switch in the Properties window.
  • Set the desired DNS server to 8.8.8.8 and the alternate DNS server to 8.8.4.4.
  • Make sure the Check Output Settings option is selected and click OK to apply the changes immediately.

Window defender

  • Look in the window titled Add or Remove Exceptions. Click on it and you will be taken to a menu where you can add exceptions.

Bitdefender

  • Open Bitdefender and go to the security window by clicking on the shield icon in the figure below.
  • Click on the link titled View Modules.
  • Click on the Settings icon in the upper right corner of the antivirus program.
  • Click on the Exceptions tab available in the window.
  • Click on the list of files and folders that are excluded from the scan.
  • Press the ADD. Navigate to the Spotify folder and select a folder to exclude it from the scan. You must also select the Both option before adding an exception.
  • Click on the Add button and save your changes.

Avast Antivirus

  • Open the Avast interface.
  • Press the Settings button located at the bottom left of the screen.
  • Go to the General section of the Settings chapter and scroll down until you find the exceptions.
  • Expand the section and you will see a dialog where you can add global exceptions. Go to the Spotify folder with the Browse option.
  • After selecting a folder, press the ADD button in the lower left corner of the screen. Click OK and it will be added to Avast’s worldwide exceptions.

Protection against the McAfee virus

  • Open McAfee Antivirus by clicking its icon on the toolbar in the lower right corner of Windows.
  • Click on Security management.
  • Select the scheduler and start the scan option in the Anti-Virus and Spyware window.
  • Select the Scan Schemes option from the list of the following options A new window will open where you can see the Add button on the Excluded Files and Folders tab. Select the Spotify folder after clicking the Add button in the file explorer.
  • Once you have reached the location, select a folder and save the changes.

Kaspersky AV.

  • Open Kaspersky AV using the icon in the system tray in the lower-right corner of the screen.
  • Go to the Settings menu.
  • Click the Advanced tab and select the Threats and Exclusions tab for the specified options.
  • Click on the Configure Exceptions button in the center of the screen.
  • Select the Add Presence option at the bottom right of the screen.
  • Now use the Browse button to navigate to the Spotify folder. Once there, select a folder and save the changes.

Reinstallation of the spotifica
